all right if anybody takes offense to my signiture i'm sorry but this is truely how i feel people take otaku as an insult because it litterally means "freak" but tell me this, isn't freak what all the popular people with money call you when you are trying to be kind to them so you can get to know them before you even judge them? so im sorry but i take otaku as a comlement for being unique and being myself those people who think that we "freaks" (otaku) think that it means "anime freak" are completely wrong we probly know it better than most seeming as we put up with most of the torment from people on the internet who disrespect us for being who we are and technically at any given time at least one person on earth thinks that you are a freak weather they acknoledge their feelings or not so technically all you otaku haters out there you are otaku to so kiss my dariare I'm so sick of people judging others just because of their material objects or just because their not pretty or popular. you cant friggin label somebody before you know them. so heres an idea get a clue about life and dont label people based off of their beliefs, material status, or popularity. GET YOU HEADS OUT OF YOUR BUTTS AND GET A LIFE!!!!!!

hi there.

People who judge/label other people means that they are frustrated and are insecure. why?

frustrated because they couldn't express what they really wanted unlike the otaku who are extremely expressive. I'm not saying anime otaku alone. I'm stating otaku in general.

being an otaku doesn't mean on anime alone. it applies on all things. that's why I agree on the thing you said about everyone being an otaku.

These people who say that they hate otaku are the ones who doesn't understand the word.

They are insecure because they don't tend to stick on what they really want. Although I don't want to generalize, they just go with the latest. Where as, we, the otaku, tend to dwell on our thing for a long time... even for a lifetime. which often labeled as the "not popular" because the time has passed on it's popularity.

for example, The Lord of the Rings.

When the movie was still showing, everybody goes gaga over it. Now, the "loyal tolkien fans" are labeled freaks or otaku because they still are in love with the books and the film.

and as observed, the fans are the ones who understand the films/books more than any other person who just watched it because it was good.

Same goes for starwars, harry potter, anime, transformers etc.

These people who couldn't express themselves are just pretending to say things just to justify something in order for them to show that they are worth hearing. (who are not, really)

We should pay no heed to these people. They win if we get angry. They'll be happy if we get affected by their words. Let them be and they'll soon go.

If they say we're freaks, we should happily accept it! because it is who we are. and WE'RE PROUD of it!
